Athletes come twice a week for an hour each time, leaving at least one
day in between their Fast Twitch workouts. The appointments are on the
hour and made on a week by week basis.
- Fast Twitch places a great emphasis on the practices and workouts the athlete is doing with their team. Our program is a supplement to the workouts they are currently
doing.
|
-
The athletes start with a dynamic warm up addressing flexibility. 20-25
minutes is spent on the Fast Twitch isokinetic equipment training the
central nervous system. The last part of the hour is focused on
athletic drills.
- All of the activities focus on explosive power, speed
movements and core strength to improve overall athleticism.
|
-
Whatever is comfortable for them to wear while working-out. Most of the athletes wear shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes.
|
-
Most athletes have trouble the first few workouts if they eat heavy
within about an hour. We suggest eating something fairly light maybe 1½
hours before "Twitching."
|
-
The "demo" workout is similar in length and type of exercise. The
difference is that the focus will be on learning how to use the
equipment, not going as intensely as possible.
- This workout is free of
charge, and a great opportunity to see the workout first-hand.
|
-
Setting appointments is extremely flexible. We train on the hour, every
hour. The athletes can come at the same time/day every week, but they
are not locked into any time or day.
- Likewise, if an appointment is
made and needs to be changed, just give us at least two hours notice
and there is no consequence. If you don't show up to a scheduled
appointment you simply lose that session.

-
Fast Twitch does host several sports clinics and camps throughout the
year, although most are in the summer time.
- Football conditioning,
football skills, and basketball camps run during the summer, while
baseball clinics are hosted in the fall and spring.
- All of our camps
incorporate professional athletes as part of the coaching staff.
Trainers will make on-site presentations to athletic departments at
middle and high schools. Call us and we'd be happy to set that up.
